7 Really bizarre Ice Cream Flavors
Posted on 14. Aug, 2009 by David Y in Food
We are always hearing how we should try something new, live a little, take a risk once in awhile but I don’t think trying out the following bizarre ice cream flavors really is something anyone who truly values there taste buds should do.
Chili
Now some of us love chili but I doubt it tastes good as a ice cream flavor. It is sold in local restaurants in the Bicol peninsula of the Philippines. It starts out tasting sweet like coconut milk at first then it gets real spicy, because of this very few people can even finish the serving but it is said that if you are one of those lucky few then the manager shakes your hand.
Corn & Cheese
The Japanese are known for being the leaders of bizarre ice cream flavors and with this you can see why. Some people however do enjoy corn and cheese ice cream but personally it doesn’t sound to appealing at all.
Bacon
Some people still love there bacon, personally not a fan of it or any pork products for that matter but I’m not one to judge. But this flavor certainly is a odd one. David Lebovitz experimented and made candied bacon ice cream. The result is a salty/smoky cinnamon tinged flavor that got a thumbs up from his butcher and apparently his recipe was a success. Link
Black Sesame
Black Sesame Ice cream could almost be mistaken for Oreos if one is truly not paying attention. Not much to say about this one the picture does most of the talking.
Potato
Many people love there potatoes but this mash up of a flavor which is just really out there consists of a sausage, mash potatoes, gravy and peas in a ice cream cone. I guess the company that created this one whom by the way is called Aunt Bessie’s claims that they are breathing new life into the ice cream industry vans we all at one point or another have seen driving around with the annoying music.
Sweet Corn
Good ole corn on the cob, a summer BBQ side dish favorite has been transformed into a ice cream flavor. It is said that this particular flavor of ice cream is made by simmering corn on the cob in the milk and cream to add more flavor. To me it sounds really weird and not too appeasing but people actually say it tastes really good. Personally I’ll pass.
Viagra
The number one most bizzare ice cream flavor… Viagra. This one goes to the Japanese once again as we all sit confused and wonder how did this flavor even come about. Who knew Viagra even had a flavor, my advice leave this one alone, don’t even let your curiousity get the best of you.

Hi! I just saw you in sitesketch101 and decided to stop by.
Now, I thought we (mexican people) were masters of weird ice-cream flavors -chili, guacamole, mole, chili & corn, cheese-, but viagra and bacon are ones that I´m not gonna taste

Thanks for stopping by. Guacamole is a new one. Out of curiosity have you ever had that flavor? And if so how does it taste?
