After visiting Wihee I knew that this site was a site unlike any other. It starts off with a very simple home page that leads you to the various sections of the site, such as wihee chat, forums, avatars and radio. The color selection of the site is simple and easy on the eyes. While in a few areas this splash page of sorts could be a little bit more detailed design wise, it gets the job done well. From here I’m going to start with Wihee avatar.

Wihee avatar has to be one of the most well though out and put together avatar directories I’ve seen so far. The loading time is well above average for a site that has a lot of picture content. The design is simple and very efficient. Users can add there avatars from over five different forums in a very simple process that a 6 year old can do with ease, but even if you do get stuck or perhaps can’t figure out how to add your avatar to the ever growing list there is a place where you can get help. The avatar sizes are just the perfect size, but in some places of detail overall on the layout of the site it could be a little bit more appealing. But from concept to execution of an idea its a win for wihee avatars.

The Wihee forum maker has provided a platform in which people can discuss various topics, even those of a controversial nature in a uncontroversial manner. The system is also set up where you can find both new and old articles and the nature of the forums has a sense of humor to it all. Things here are clean written and easy to understand. The topics vary from a saying hello all the way down to web development and quite a few other things in between. There is even a section in which you can buy, sell and trade. The design of the forums is easy on the eye which is very good for extended use.

Wihee radio and chat are also worth a mention. Starting with the radio you can choose from various different genres and even add your own to the list. The radio player is lightweight with fast loading times, and the design is simple and efficient.

Wihee chat is flash based and easy to use. However it could be added on somewhere on the page what screenname to use or how to log in for those who may not be familiar with the system.

Overall Wihee has great potential. It is a very integrated social community. With a few tweaks here and there it’ll reach new heights. So be sure to head on over to Wihee and join in on the fun.
