A Reflection Of The Past with Promises for the Future

lets not forget

Both good and bad events leave there mark on history, some say it never would have happened if this president or party was still in office, others say it was just bound to happen and it was deserved.

Blaming each other only divides us as a people. But when we stand together.. there is strength in numbers.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the past, but most importantly look towards a better future.

Did we forget
About all of the heros in our lives
Did we forget
Of all the people who had died
Did we forget
Of that normal morning
Of that day that made the world stop spinnin’
On 9/11

Did we forget
How proud we are to be Americans
Did we forget
That we are all the same
Did we forget
How broken – hearted we were
On that terrible day that made the world stop spinnin’
On 9/11

The Pentagon
The Twin Towers
And almost the White House

Were destroyed that day
Along with many people
Most of who gave their lives
To save those in need

Let’s take a moment of silence
For those people
And the day that made the world stop spinnin’
On 9/11

Imagine that normal day
Around 9 am in New York
When all the skies were blue and nothing could go wrong
The husbands went to work
The children went to school

The todlers went to play
And little did they know
They’d be killed that day

Imagine the screaming
Imagine the terror

Imagine the emotion
Imagine the pain

Of all those people in those towers
Screaming for their lives

All of those heros trying to save a life
And not knowing
That they soon would die

The Pentagon

The Twin Towers
And almost the White House
Were destroyed that day
Along with many people
Most of who gave their lives

To save those in need

Let’s take a moment of silence
For those people
And the day that made the world stop spinnin’
On 9/11

Imagine on that plane
Full of regular people
Knowing they would die
Calling their loved one and telling them goodbye

Those normal people are heros
For sacrificing themselves
For all the people they would have saved

They didn’t know they were going to die

And as soon as they did they
They didn’t sit there and cry
They thought of a plan
To save a million lives
On 9/11

The Pentagon
The Twin Towers
And almost the White House
Were destroyed that day
Along with many people

Most of who gave their lives
To save those in need

Let’s take a moment of silence
For those people
And the day that made the world stop spinnin’
On 9/11
