Your Fired – Facebook Style

We all make mistakes and from time to time we all say at one point or another that we hate our jobs, that is unless your at the top of the food chain in the corporate world, yet we move on and do our jobs to the best of our abilities.

Some people however take this to the extreme and post it online, which to start with is a stupid choice, but then let’s add into the mix that your boss is your friend on facebook and you announce to the world how much you hate your job there amongst other things. We all can see where this is headed.

Not sure which forum that I frequent had this on there as a joke, but when I saw it instantly the idea of writing about how sad and foolish it was appeared in my mind.

In this day and age where jobs are a little on the tough side to come by it should be the number one priority of the employee to hold down that job with all there might, not just toss it off with foolish words or insults to someone. The worst part is this particular person was still in there probationary period.

Job hunting for this individual became a whole lot harder when prospective employees call the previous employer to find out what happened. I mean really I wonder if they think it was truly worth saying. I’m very much sure they now regret saying that. This is why we should think before we speak/type.
